A One-Day Creative Retreat: Flower Arranging Meets Painting
Bloom & Brush is a one-day immersive creative retreat bringing together the mindful art of flower arranging and the expressive freedom of painting. A day to slow down, reconnect with creativity and celebrate the beauty of nature.
Through flowers, colour, texture and creativity, guests are invited to step away from everyday life, explore their artistic side and create something beautiful to take home.
Morning: The Art of Flower Arranging - Explore seasonal flowers, foliage, colour combinations and textures. Learn the principles of creating a beautiful natural jam jar arrangement, guided by a floral artist.
Afternoon: The Art of Painting - Be inspired by the flowers around you. Discover colour, form and composition through a relaxed guided painting session, translating nature's beauty onto canvas or paper.

Children's Holiday Classes
21st & 22nd December - Christmas
Choose a morning or afternoon session - or stay for the day. Each day the tutor works through two painting/drawings with the children. Morning sessions (£25 per day) - 10.00am to 12.30pmAfternoon sessions (£25 per day) - 1.00pm to 3.30pm
Full day (£50 per day) - 10.00am to 3.30pm
Also, help with Art Scholarship portfolios, GCSE & A Level Art coursework.
Please bring snacks, refreshments & lunch. We recommend children wear old clothes or an apron/shirt.

Lino printing - 5-weeks
7th January to 4th February - 10.30am to 1.00pm
In this beginners lino printing 5-week workshop you will be introduced to the tools of the trade and learn core carving techniques. We will explore how different gouges create different marks and textures. You will learn how to transfer designs onto the lino block focusing on positive and negative space and you will carve your first simple design.
Inking and printing: The magic happens! You'll learn the art of achieving a perfect, even ink coverage using a brayer rubber roller. We will cover registration techniques to ensure clean prints and pull your first edition on a professional printing press. We will take your prints to the next level by exploring multi-block and reduction printing. You will learn how to register multiple layers of colour to create depth and complexity in your artwork.

Lino printing Workshop
13th February - 10.00am to 4.00pm
During this workshop you will learn how to make a one-colour lino-print based either on your own design or one of the examples provided. The different linocut tools, and which tools are used for each type of mark will be covered. You will cut a sample linocut to explore the range of marks that can be made and inking up methods will be demonstrated and explained. Your sample linocut will be used for reference and you will prepare your design and learn how to transfer this design to the lino, before cutting and printing.

Mixed media - Abstraction
20th March 2027 - 10.00am to 4.00pm
In this full-day, we will move beyond traditional representation to explore the pure joy of mark-making. We will treat our canvases as visual compositions, using a variety of mixed-media tools—from charcoal and pastels to inks, acrylics, and found objects—to create dynamic, abstract works.
Guided by Kandinsky’s theories on the spiritual and emotional power of geometry and hue, you will learn to translate feelings and sounds into bold strokes, energetic lines, and layered textures. Whether you are a seasoned artist looking to loosen up or a beginner eager to experiment, this day is designed to free your creative spirit.
